As part of c2c\u2019s commitment to our customers and communities, we are launching a new community upgrade project, \u2018Committed to Communities.\u2019<\/strong> This fund is focused on the needs of our communities across our network and will support our customers, charities and local groups to make tangible improvements.<\/p>\n

\"C2c<\/p>\n

We will invest in projects across a range of themes, including conservation and the environment, employability, health and wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, cultural groups and education.<\/p>\n

Under our \u2018Committed to Communities\u2019 initiative, c2c will be investing \u00a3173,000 by the end of March 2023 in community projects, with ideas proposed by customers and stakeholders influencing\/driving planning for the coming years.<\/p>\n

Therefore, we want to hear from you!<\/h3>\n

We\u2019re looking for initiatives that will bring real customer benefits at stations across the c2c route, beyond upgrade work already scheduled in our annual business plan. This could be anything from community art schemes and extra platform shelters, to station gardens and seating.<\/p>\n

In calls for ideas in previous funds, we\u2019ve seen our customers and stakeholders focus on green initiatives, leading to the introduction of free water refill points and supporting our commitment to the environment.<\/p>\n

\"LeighThis investment is part of a government scheme to improve the customer experience at stations across the network under the Station Improvement Fund and Customer & Communities Investment Fund (CCIF) frameworks.<\/p>\n

All proposals received by the deadline will be considered, with the most viable schemes which bring the most benefit to our communities submitted for review by the Department for Transport (DfT).<\/p>\n

Once a shortlist of schemes has been approved by the DfT, these projects will be implemented over a two year period from April 2023.<\/p>\n
