c2c will be starting an upgrade of Upminster<\/a> and Chafford Hundred<\/a> stations planned to commence in June.<\/p>\n

At Upminster, the\u00a0four-month\u00a0project involves\u00a0modernisation\u00a0of the\u00a0main\u00a0booking hall, redecoration and a new ceiling to make the area more inviting for customers.<\/p>\n

At Chafford Hundred, the project, which is also expected to last for\u00a0four months, involves the refurbishment of the booking hall and waiting areas to make the station lighter, brighter, and easier for\u00a0people\u00a0to buy their tickets.<\/p>\n

The planned works follow the recent upgrades to Grays and Ockendon stations and the lower ticket hall at Upminster, which are part of a \u00a317m plan to transform all the stations on the c2c route.<\/p>\n

c2c Managing Director Julian Drury said: \u201cThe refurbishment of two of our key stations are part of a long term plan to transform the buildings and improve the facilities for our customers. We have already made\u00a0significant\u00a0improvements at a number of our other stations,\u00a0which have\u00a0been received very positively by customers. This is the next step in\u00a0our programme of\u00a0upgrades to stations all\u00a0along the c2c route.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the duration of the work at Upminster and Chafford Hundred,\u00a0special arrangements\u00a0will be made to allow access to both main ticket halls and booking offices. Customers will also be able to\u00a0access Upminster\u2019s Platform 1 directly from the car park during the morning peak via the side entrance to ensure they will not face a detour at the busiest times. Customers with accessibility requirements will be able to use an intercom to gain access at any time at both stations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
