{"id":89769,"date":"2020-02-05T15:05:47","date_gmt":"2020-02-05T15:05:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.c2c-online.co.uk\/?p=89769"},"modified":"2020-02-05T15:05:47","modified_gmt":"2020-02-05T15:05:47","slug":"customer-vote-on-c2c-green-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.c2c-online.co.uk\/media-centre\/latest-news\/customer-vote-on-c2c-green-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Chance for customers to have their say on c2c green fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re giving customers the opportunity to have their say on how our fund for environmental issues is spent over the next three years.<\/p>\n<p>Last year we consulted on how best to use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.c2c-online.co.uk\/media-centre\/latest-news\/ccif-nominations\/\">the new \u00a3375,000 Customer and Community Innovation Fund<\/a>. This is intended for schemes that benefit passengers but are not part of c2c&#8217;s existing franchise plans. More than 50 nominations were received from MPs, local authorities, local charities and c2c customers. Environmentally-friendly schemes emerged as the most popular issue from this consultation.<\/p>\n<p>Now it&#8217;s your chance to vote for your favourite scheme from our final shortlist:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Supporting plastic-free c2c customers:\u00a0<\/strong>c2c could spend the fund helping customers to reduce the amount of single-use plastic they consume. This will include providing public water-refill points at key stations, and offering reusable bottles and coffee cups for free to c2c customers<\/li>\n<li><strong>Expanding electric vehicle charging points:\u00a0<\/strong>c2c could expand its electric charging points infrastructure by providing more charge points for cars and\/or electric bikes at more stations<\/li>\n<li><strong>Providing greater support to cyclists:\u00a0<\/strong>c2c could introduce a network of bike repair and maintenance equipment hubs at key stations to improve facilities for cyclists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><a class=\"button-purple\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/QWAVTNozQb7AKxTFA\">Click here to tell us which of these proposals gets your backing.<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Voting closes on Wednesday 12 February.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re giving customers the opportunity to have their say on how our fund for environmental issues is spent over the next three years.
